Press Release 2009
Campbell & Wilson will once again rock Irish Flats,
all night, every night, at a Night In Old San Antonio,
the world's greatest party! They're perhaps the only group to play every
hour of the 4-night festival. "And we can play all night without
repeating ourselves," said Rod Campbell, the guitar-playing half of the
energetic duo. "Of course, there are audience favorites that get
requested a lot, like the Unicorn, the Scotsman's Kilt, and the one
where everyone yells 'McIntyre!'" Ron Wilson (fiddle, mandolin,
concertina) added, "They love the audience participation stuff. And
they always want to know what we wear under our kilts!" Irish Flats
is a hidden NIOSA gem, tucked between La Villita's Little Rhein
Steakhouse and the Fig Tree Restaurant. With popular festival
delicacies such as the Dublin Deli and potato skins, as well as plenty
of cold green beer, it's a great setting to enjoy South Texas' most
active Celtic group at their most raucous, revved-up-for-Fiesta best.
